The DURAFOSF treatment consists of a deposit with greater hardness than the underlying metallic substrate. By creating a very smooth and uniform surface, it significantly improves sliding properties. By penetrating and sealing the natural microcavities of the base material, and substantially reducing surface roughness, it imparts superior hardness and wear resistance—without causing bearing deformation, as the process temperature never exceeds 140°C.
The treated surface appears black, perfectly smooth and glossy; the coating results in a maximum dimensional increase of 0.2 µm.

DURAFOSF can be applied to any metallic material, regardless of the type of component to be treated. However, experience and practical testing have shown that its ideal use lies in the field of bearings, where it can increase service life by up to four times, even under heavy loads.
DURAFOSF can be applied either to balls and rollers separately or to the fully assembled bearing. This treatment, already widely used in German bearing manufacturing, is carried out exclusively for Italy by our company.
